Extract fan cleaning in London, done overnight.
A greasy fan pulls less air, runs louder and works harder. We isolate it safely, degrease the impellers and housing, and clean the discharge beyond it, overnight, as part of a full TR19® clean.

Your fan tells you before your insurer does.
Grease on the impellers knocks a fan off balance and cuts airflow. The kitchen gets hotter and smokier, the fan gets louder, and the motor works harder until it fails.
Cleaning the fan on its own doesn't help for long: grease in the duct either side drips straight back. That is why fan cleaning is always part of a full system clean, with readings either side recorded on the report.
- Smoke or heat hanging in the kitchen during service
- A fan that's louder, rattles or vibrates
- Grease dripping from the discharge or staining outside walls
- Your last clean was more than one interval ago

Every clean includes canopy, filters, duct, fan, certificate and photo report. Price depends on duct length, access and grease levels. What moves the price.
Send a photo for your priceGrease builds up on the impellers and inside the housing, cutting airflow, making the fan noisy and unbalanced and adding fuel at one of the hottest points in the system. TR19® Grease includes the fan in every full clean.
Cleaning is what we arrange. If the engineer finds a fault, such as a worn bearing, a damaged impeller or a failing motor, it goes on the report with a recommendation, so you can get it repaired before it fails mid-service.
The canopy and plenum, the baffle filters, the ductwork and risers through access panels, the extract fan and the discharge, plus the certificate and before-and-after photo report. If a quote only covers the canopy, it is not a TR19 clean.
TR19® Grease sets the interval by daily cooking hours: 2–6 hours a day, every 12 months; 6–12 hours a day, every 6 months; 12–16 hours a day, every 3 months. Heavy-grease cooking such as grills, woks, fryers and charcoal can need more often.
Typical London prices in September 2026 industry guides run £495–£1,200 for a small café, takeaway or pub, £1,200–£2,500 for a restaurant or busy pub, £3,000–£5,000+ for a hotel or multi-kitchen site, plus VAT. Duct length, access and grease levels move the price. Send a photo of your canopy and filters on WhatsApp for a ballpark price for your kitchen.
No. Cleans are booked overnight, after your last service, and finished before morning prep, so you open as normal. The exact start and finish are agreed when you book.
Nightshift arranges every clean with an independent, VHR-registered contractor working to the BESA TR19® Grease specification. You get one point of contact for the quote, the booking and your reminders; the certificate is issued by the contractor who did the work.
